Lincoln City play in the fourth tier of English professional football, League Two. Currently under the management of the Cowley brothers, Danny and Nicky, ‘The Imps’ have enjoyed their best form over the past year, famously reaching the quarter final of the FA Cup against Arsenal after beating Premier League side Burnley.

Mo–Su: 10am–4.30pm, free entry / In the victorian building from 1857 key social historical objects from 1750 to the present day of Lincolnshire can be found. Next to tracks of agricultural and rural life, industry and the victorian life, an original World War One tank is exhibited.

Usher Gallery
1 Danes Terrace, Lincoln
Mo–Su: 10am–4pm, free entry / One of Lincolnshire’s premier art galleries shows both a historic collection and changing contemporary exhibitions. The gallery placed on a small park is named after James Ward Usher (1845–1921), a businessman from Lincoln who collected fine clocks, watches, porcelain and paintings, which are on view at Usher Gallery.

Harding House Gallery
50 Steep Hill, Lincoln
Mo–Su: 10am–5pm, free entry / Positioned on Steep Hill in a 15th century building the Harding House Gallery shows and sells contemporary art and craft. The gallery is managed by an artists co-operative of twelve members. Downstairs ceramics, glass, jewellery, photography and painting are permanently for sale, while upstairs temporary exhibitions are taking place.

The Little Red Gallery
8 Bailgate, Lincoln
Mo–Su: 10am–6pm, free entry / Between Lincoln’s Cathedral and Castle, the Little Red Gallery consisting of four different exhibition rooms shows finest contemporary art. Special is that the independent gallery houses both works by well-known national artists and the up-and-coming artists equally.
