SIGHTSEEING

Cathedral

Minster Yard, Lincoln

Voted the UK’s favourite Cathedral, Lincoln Cathedral is one of Europe’s finest Gothic buildings. Once the tallest building in the world, with stunning views and magnificent and intricate architecture inside.

Castle

Lincoln Castle Castle Square

Following a recent £22m restoration, Lincoln Castle uncovers the hidden history of the medieval wall walk and is home to an original Magna Carta. You can even explore the depths of the Victorian Prison. You will be in for an immersive experience at the UK’s favourite and most fascinating castles.

Medieval Bishop Palace

Minster Yard, Lincoln

Located next to the Cathedral, you will find the Medieval centre of the once powerful diocese. You can enjoy a tour of the East Hall, chapel range and entrance tower before overlooking the City from the grounds.

Roman Trail

Roman Way, South Hykeham, Lincoln

Once a Roman fortress, explore the City as if you were back in AD50-60 (known as Lindum Colonia). Follow the Roman Trail to discover the remains of the ancient City today.

Arches/Ruins

Around the Cathedral Quarter, you will uncover the remains of the old gates in to the City. Newport, East gate (located next to The Lincoln Hotel) and North Gate (Lindum Hill) still remain.
